Taranaki Classical Guitar showcase concerts as part of the 2018 Summer School
Ingrid Riollot is a rising star in the French classical guitar scene. She has visited more than 25 countries: Australia, Switzerland, Europe, Asia, Africa… and performed for several Classical Guitar Societies. With the rare beauty of her tone and her enchanting presence on stage, Ingrid Riollot catches the hearts of audiences across the globe.
She belongs to the class of musicians that tell you a story with their instrument. Not only technical but above all musical, for her “Music is a reflection of the soul and emotions”, “this is an intense moment of sharing with the audience “.
She combines her dedicated to teaching with her career as a soloist and with a variety of ensembles. After being classical guitar teacher at Geneva Music School (Switzerland), Nancy Music Conservatory, L’Haÿ-Les-Roses Conservatory in Paris Area, she currently is professor at the Conservatory of Music dance and theater at “Pays de Montbeliard” close to Switzerland border. She is as well professor at Iartschool in China, an online music school. She is invited for jurys and gives seminars and masterclasses in France and abroad.
Ingrid Riollot graduated with distinction at the Lyon Conservatory of Music (France) and La Escuela Luthier d’Arts Musicals de Barcelona (Spain). She studied in France with Isabelle Touvron, Jésus Castro Balbi, Marc & Eric Franceries and Ricardo Gallen. She has received masterclasses with Gerard Abiton Joaquin Clerch, Marco Tamayo, Costas Cotsiolis…
She has recorded three CDs, one of which is solo “Tribute”, the others duets & trios with romantic guitar “Antoine Lhoyer” (France Music National Museum) and the last one for children “Musado” (Antara Productions.
Currently, she plays on a Smallman & Sons Classical Guitar.
